Heather Lauray Paxton

Heather Lauray Paxton, 29, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019 with her family by her side, in Tampa, FL., following a courageous two year battle with cancer.

The daughter of Tabitha Luckey and Matthew Jeffrey she was born October 30, 1989, in Morgantown.

Heather was a nursing graduate of Fairmont State University. She was recently employed as a registered nurse at WVU Medicine.

Heather is survived by her husband, James Paxton, V; her mother and step father, Tabitha and Hayward Luckey; her father, Matthew Jeffrey; a step son, Jase Paxton; two siblings, Sierra Ward and Maddy Jeffrey; her grandmothers, Helen Wolfe and Myrtle Jeffrey; and her beloved pug, Chomper.

Heather was preceded in death by, her grandfathers, William Wolfe and John Jeffrey.

Family will receive friends at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Saturday, from 3pm to 7pm, and again on Sunday, from 10am until the 11am funeral service. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
