Gloria Jean Shaffer

Gloria Jean Dude' Hillery Sanders Shaffer, 79, passed away on Sunday March 4, 2012 at her residence in Morgantown. She was born June 19, 1932 daughter of the late Dailey Buster and Florence Dunn Hillery. She is survived by her four sons and spouses, Lewis and Vicki Sanders, Jr., Terry and Pam Sanders, Randy and Chris Sanders, and Daniel Shaffer, Jr.; three daughters and spouses Janet and James May, Debbie and Dallas McDonald and Tami and Marty Kisner; two brothers and four sisters; 18 grandchildren, Terry Sanders, Jr., Lisa Cottrell, James May, Jr., Dallas McDonald, Jr., Lewis McDonald, Nathaniel McDonald, Amanda Sanders, Randy Sanders, Jr., Wendy Murray, Shawna Kisner, Angela Kisner, Jill Sanders, Steven Sanders, Shawn Sanders, Michael Sanders, Christopher Sanders, Charles Shaffer and Yvonne Yoho. Also surviving are several great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Lewis E. Sanders, Sr.; second husband Daniel Shaffer; one daughter Diane Sayers; one sister Leona Powell and two brothers Franklin Hillery and infant brother Bobby Hillery. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday March 6, from 3-5 and 7-9pm and again on Wednesday from 11am until time of services at 1pm with Rev. Francis officiating. Cremation will follow services; a private burial will take place at a later date.
