Glenna Mae Shaw

April 30, 1954 — October 18, 2022

Glenna Mae Shaw, 68, of Kingwood Pike, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at her home surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous battle with a long illness. She was born April 30, 1954 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Leonard ‘Pete’ and Dewilla Dalton Summers.

Glenna worked for Clinton Water Association of which she was a former board member, until her retirement. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling to Myrtle Beach, Amish Country Ohio, and Branson, MO. She cherished playing Scrabble with her sisters, but constantly had to watch her sister Donna because she would cheat. Glenna also liked word search puzzle books, which her good friend Geneva Hall kept her in well supply of.

She is survived by her beloved husband William ‘Dob’ Shaw, who she just celebrated her 50th year wedding anniversary in June with; sisters Donna Haseleu and husband Chuck, Rhonda Fichtner, Sherri Dalton and husband Darrin; brothers-in-law Denzil Shaw and wife Cathy, Larry Shaw and wife Maxine; sister-in-law Judy Costello and husband Harvey, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law Denzil ‘Jack’ and Lucy Irene Shaw.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of WV Caring Hospice for all of their care and support.

A graveside service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 1pm with Pastor Donna Dalton and speaker Kathy Dalton officiating with burial to take place following the service.
