Glenn “Buck” Ray Tennant, 84, of Morgantown, slipped off to Heaven on his birthday May 12, 2023, at Stonerise Nursing Home. Buck was born in Everettville, WV, on May 12, 1939, the only child of Claude Ray Tennant and Estee Gay Self Tennant.
Buck worked hard from a young age with various jobs throughout his life, he most recently worked and retired from Eastern Associated Coal at the Miracle Run Portal after 27 years of service. Buck enjoyed hunting and fishing from time to time as well as sharing stories, riddles, rhymes and his take on life to those he encountered along his way. Buck placed his faith in Jesus Christ soon after he met his wife of over 36 years, Claudette. Buck attended Faith Baptist Church and Restoration Church International of Morgantown with his wife.
Buck is survived by his wife, Claudette Tennant; son Joe Tennant and his wife Jenny; daughter Judi Collins and her husband Ray; stepdaughter Sandy Greer and her husband John; grandson Dave Mitchell and his wife Aubrey; granddaughter Nichole Martin and her husband Josh; grandson Joe Tennant and his wife Rylie; granddaughter Jessica Tennant; grandson Logan Loughry & granddaughter Taylor Loughry. Buck is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Buck was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Monday, May 15, 2023, from 5-8 PM and again on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until funeral services at 10 AM with Dr. Rena Perozich officiating. Buck will be laid to rest at St. Luke Cemetery in Mooresville.
