Glenn Richard Bennett

August 30, 1938 — March 24, 2016

Glenn Richard Bennett, 77, of Morgantown, WV passed into another life March 24, 2016 at Monongalia General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 30, 1938 to the late Charles and Mazie (McCabe) Bennett.

He had a good life and he left this world with no regrets. He was proud to be “number 9” of 13 children. Glenn strived to be the best he could at everything he did, especially his hobbies of golf, bowling, and most recently playing WII.

Glenn was a retired miner and driller. He was a dedicated and hard worker but also enjoyed having fun.

He is survived by his three prides of joy, Rose (Donnie) Groves, Brenda (Jeffrey) Floyd, and Glenna (Steve) Cale; brothers, Gerald (Eileen) Bennett of Freedom, PA, Clifford (Geraldine) Bennett of Maidsville, WV, Earl (Barbara) Bennett of Core, WV, and sister Linda (Ronald) Brown of Lost Creek, WV; and his special friend and companion, Jenny, grandchildren, Heather, Brandon, Sarah, Richy, D.J., and Glenn; and 17 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Glenn is preceded in death by five brothers, Carl, Fred, Ernie, Clarence, and Charles; and three sisters, Leah Bell, Margaret, and Bertha; great-granddaughter Cheyanne.

Family and Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Sunday, March 27th from 2-4pm and again from 6-8pm. Visitation will continue Monday, March 28th from noon until the time of service at 1pm with Pastor Linda Fulmer officiating. Burial will follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris, PA.
