Georgetta M. Mckinley

Georgetta M. McKinley, 60, of Whipkey Lane, Morgantown, passed away Friday June 6, 2014 at her home. She was born February 13, 1954 in Morgantown a daughter of the late Rudolph McKinley Sr. and Frances West McKinley. Leaving to bereave are her children Melissa M. McKinley and fiancée Marvin Sonny' Hawkins Jr. and Gary R. Hall all of Morgantown; grandchildren Halee Long and Benjamin Long who she encouraged to be the best they could be; her precious baby dog Amy Lynn; one brother Hameed Thomas of Pittsburgh; sister Gwendolyn McKinley of Morgantown; two aunts Virginia Robinson of Washington DC and Lucille Pitts of Fredricktown, PA; one uncle Richard Coleman of Cassville, and many cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers Rudolph McKinley Jr. and Leonard McKinley. Georgetta enjoyed her job with Adrian Enterprises and had 30+ years of working for Glenn Adrian. The family would like to thank the Adrian Family for their continuation of support and compassion. Georgetta enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandkids and her sister Gwen. One of her greatest hobbies was cooking. She was always crafting new recipes and sharing her love through her baked goods. She was famous for her macaroni and cheese which her granddaughter Halee adored. The family also wishes to thank Dr. Graves, her nurse Cindy, Dr. Graves' team including Dr. Daniels and Dr. Thomei, and two nurses that went above and beyond the call Brittney and Brennon of 7 East at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday June 10, 2014 from 7-9pm and again on Wednesday from 11am until the time of services at 12pm noon with Pastor Norma Stimmell officiating. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
