George Thomas 'Tuff' Nicholson

George Thomas ‘Tuff’ Nicholson, 75 of Summer School Road, passed at his home place on January 2, 2025 surrounded by his family. Tuff was born August 6, 1949 son to the late Millard ‘Fizz’ and Bonnie Nicholson.

He is survived by his brothers, Ed (Linda) Nicholson, Art (Donna) Nicholson and Paul (Luann) Nicholson. Also surviving are his beloved sisters, Betty (Freddie) Murray, Pam (Jeff) Hart and Annemarie (Bob) Hart.

Tuff had no children of his own but had many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great nephews who meant the world to him.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Eddie Dalton and nephew Larry Henderson, Jr.

Tuff had many jobs throughout his life and was most recently working as a grave digger for the Nicholson Cemetery. He lived life to the fullest. He lived the way he wanted and didn’t answer to anyone.

The family will honor his wish for a simple cremation without a formal service. A memorial to celebrate and recognize the profound impact he had on his community, family, and friends is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
