George Eldon Fowler

George Eldon Fowler, 64, of Morgantown, WV passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, March 27, 2018. As he is walking the streets of gold with his daughter Dawn Renee Fowler, he is reunited with his father and mother Ransel and Estella Fowler, no more sorrow, no more pain.

George was born on September 18, 1953 in Morgantown, WV. He grew up in Arnettsville, Georgetown community and graduated from University High School. Later he worked at the WVU Health Science building where he met the love of his life and future wife, Helen Sue Snyder. Together, they spent 40 happy years together raising two children.

He will be leaving behind his son, Gregory Eldon Fowler and spouse April; grandchildren, Mark Anthony Harris and Micheala Dawn Fowler. George is also survived by his sisters, Ellen Kay Baliker and spouse John of Morgantown, Margaret Hedrick and spouse Steve of Lewisburg, WV, Ina Fowler and fiancé Bob Perdue of Morgantown; brothers, Charles Fowler and spouse Doris of Morgantown, Howard Fowler and spouse Judy of Morgantown, James Fowler and spouse Rowena of Ashburn, VA.

In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Renee.

He will be missed by his friends and family along with his church family at Fairchance Apostolic Revival Center where he served for 20 years. He will be missed but we know he is in a better place as he is walking with Jesus forever more. “We love and miss you, Dad. So long for now, we will see you soon.”

Family and friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Friday, March 30th from 2pm until 4pm and again from 6pm until 8pm. Visitation will continue Saturday, March 31st from 10am until the time of service at 11am with Rev. Ken Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at Arnettsville Cemetery.
