Geneva V. Johnson

January 18, 1938 — November 21, 2016

Geneva V. Johnson, 78, of Morgantown passed away on Monday November 21, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born January 18, 1938 in Tunnelton, WV a daughter of the late Benjamin and Lillian Bennett.

Geneva worked for many years for Monongalia County Schools as a cook at Woodburn Elementary and University High School. She enjoyed reading and playing the penny slot machines.

She is survived by a son Brad Johnson; daughter Connie Triplett and husband Henry; brothers Charles Bennett and wife Patty, Alton Bennett and companion Sandy, Norman Bennett; four grandchildren Curtis Triplett and wife Katie, Bradley Johnson and wife Courtney, Brittany Triplett, Zachary Johnson; and one great grandson Carter Triplett all of Morgantown.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Johnson; son Gary Bennett; and four siblings.

Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday November 22, 2016 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm and again on Wednesday from 10am until the time of funeral services at 11am with Rev. Cam Pyle officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hills Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of 9 West at Ruby Memorial Hospital for all of their care and support.
