Gaylord Lee Stimmell

Gaylord Lee Stimmell, 79, of Morgantown, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday June 17, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 3, 1935 in Morgantown a son of the late James H. Stimmell and Esther Nuce Stimmell Neville. He was a 40 year member of the Riverside Apostolic Church. Gaylord retired from Monongalia County Schools after 25 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Sonja; three sons and spouses Lester (Linda), Damon (Christine), Dennis (Cathy); seven grandchildren Amy, Jesse, D.J., Tommy, Ashley, Brittney, Hunter; one great grandchild Kolten; two brothers James P. and Billy Joe; a sister Janet and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Lewis and Durwood and two infant siblings. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Friday June 20, 2014 from 1-3pm & 5-9pm and again on Saturday from 12pm until the time of funeral services at 1pm with Pastor Jon Henry officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
