Fred Lee Smith

Fred Lee Smith, 68, of Pursglove died Tuesday August 6, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born August 7, 1944 in Morgantown, son to the late Carl David and Grace Marie Smith. Fred retired from the Peabody Coal Company with more than 20 years of service. Fred is survived by his wife Martha Sines Smith; children Tracy King and husband David of Morgantown, Scott Smith and David Smith both of California; two granddaughters and two grandsons; step children, Becky Moore and husband Woody of Weston, Alan Exline of Alabama, Linda McClain and husband Steven of Catonsville, MD; three step granddaughters and one step grandson; step great- granddaughter Shayla Petterson and six other step great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother William JR' Smith and wife Virginia and brother-in-law Willard Zeke' Mayhew. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by one son Carl Exline; half-sister Janet Mayhew and step granddaughter Kelli Alfaro. Honoring Fred's wishes, cremation services were provided by the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
