Fred Thomas Bennett, 70, of Morgantown passed away Monday August 29, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 29, 1940 in Morgantown a son to the late Charles and Mazie McCabe Bennett. Throughout his life, Fred was employed by WVU Physical Plant, CMI, and Morgantown Utility Board as a truck driver. He was also a member of Teamsters Local 789 and Morgantown Police Reserves. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Eloise Bennett; four daughters Donna Ginter and husband Gary, Debbie Allison and husband Scott, Deanna Bennett, and Tammy Richards and husband William all of Morgantown; two grandchildren he raised as a son and daughter Tom Bennett and fiancé Cassandra Kelly and Jennifer Romans and husband Mike; three grandsons Christopher Ginter, Josh Bishop, and Dylan Richards; one granddaughter Carley Ginter; three great grandchildren Jaelyn Romans, Katelyn Romans, and Kayden Shrout. Fred is also survived by four brothers Gerald Bennett, Glenn Bennett, Clifford Bennett, and Earl Bennett; a sister Linda Brown; and a special lifetime friend Charlie Bacorn. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Wednesday August 31, 2011 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm and again on Thursday from 1pm until time of funeral services at 2pm with Dr. David S. Kolb officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery Mt. Morris, PA. The family would like to thank the River Road Volunteer Fire Department for all of their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be to River Road Volunteer Fire Dept. 1701 Rover Rd. Morgantown, WV 26501.
