Emblem

Franklin Lee Wolfe, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025 at the ripe age of 90 years young. He was born on December 10, 1934.

A proud member of the University High School class of 1954, Frank honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He later dedicated three decades of his life to the WVU Medical Center campus, where he oversaw the electrical department.

Known for his boisterous and personable nature, Frank had a gift for making people smile and laugh. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including tending to his beloved rose bushes and sharing their blooms with others. His lawn was always a source of great pride for him. He was a man who had a knack for fixing things and was rarely without a crossword puzzle nearby.

Frank was a man of deep faith, an active member of his church. He was a devoted family man who cared deeply for everyone in his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Wolfe, and daughter, Lisa Runner. He is survived by his son, Rick Wolfe, grandchildren, Meagan O’Neill, Samuel Runner, and Hannah Troiani, and several great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service where Frank will be laid to rest on Saturday, August 16 at 11:00am in Mt. Union Cemetery on Point Marion Road in Morgantown, WV, with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Frank’s memory to The Gideons International.
