Franklin Grant Wiles

Franklin Grant Wiles, 66, of Morgantown passed away Friday September 24, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born July 5, 1944 in Eagle Mills Township, NC a son to the late John Claude and Percie May Renegar Wiles. Grant was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was an electrician for many years and a member of IBEW Local 553 in North Carolina. He enjoyed playing guitar, computer games, and watching NASCAR. In his earlier years he enjoyed fishing and attending his sons' baseball games. He is survived by four sons Franklin Grant Wiles, Jr. of Morgantown, Jonathan Scott Wiles of Lothian, MD, Barry A. Wiles of North Carolina, and Shawn P. Wiles of Texas; a daughter Jennifer D. Wiles of Morgantown; a brother William Bill' Wiles; and three sisters Stella Campbell, Betty J. Campbell, and Claudine Adams. He is also survived by six grandchildren Carley, Mikhela, Samantha, Jonathan, Ethan, and Katelyn; one great grandchild Scottie Mae; and his dog and best friend Dakota. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother John P. Wiles and a sister Sally S. Ray. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Sunday Sept. 26, 2010 from 6-8pm and again on Monday from noon until time of services at 1pm with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens with military rites conducted by Westover VFW Post 9916 and WVARNG Honor Guard of Camp Dawson.
