Franklin Murray

Franklin Murray, 84, of Clyde passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the Firelands Regional Medical Center. He was born August 28, 1937, in Morgantown, West Virginia the son of Lester “Nick” and Ada (Nicholson) Murray. Franklin married Patricia Ann Hall on September 21, 1956, at Nicholson Chapel in Morgantown, West Virginia; She preceded him in death in 2014. He worked at Sterling Faucet until 1967 when he moved his family (Pat and Beverly “Susie”) to Ohio. He worked for what was then Johnson Furnace, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family and friends; especially time spent sharing memories, and almost all involved a car he owned at the time. He is survived by his daughter, Beverly Sue “Susie” Murray of Westlake, Ohio; sister, Loretha Kay (Ernest) Rice of Morgantown; sister-in-law, Wilma Murray of Morgantown; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Franklin was preceded in death by his sisters, Myrtle (Ellis) Goodwin and Wanda (Thomas) Dailey; and brother, Fred Murray. Visitation will be held at the Nicholson Chapel Church, Summers School Rd., on Sunday, June 19, 2022, from 4 PM until time of services on Monday June 20, at 11 AM. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
