Franklin Dale Long

Frank Dale Long, 63, of Masontown, WV, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Preston Memorial Hospital. He was born April 27, 1959 in Fort Belvoir, VA, a son of Nancy Long and the late John Long.

Frank was a hardworking man of many trades. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was known by many, had numerous close friends, and will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sons John F. Long and wife Nichole, Matthew Long, and Justin Long and longtime girlfriend Ashley Shillingburg; brother Michael Long and wife Stacey; sister Lori Meek and husband Jeff; grandchildren Madison, John, Gabby, Kate, Griffin, Mia, Rylen, Bowyn, Dessa, Raelyn, and Jim.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Charles and Wahnetia Howell.

The family will receive friends at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 1pm. Frank will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
