Frank Sovastion

Frank Leon Sovastion, 85 of Wildwood Street, Star City, was welcomed by his Heavenly Father's outstretched hand on Monday, August 19, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 9, 1927 in Kingwood, the son of the late Michael Sovastion and Margaret Trackmovich Sovastion. He was preceded in death by Thelma Marie Rose Sovastion his loving and prayerful wife of 62 years. Frank was a loving and devoted Christian who dedicated his life to providing for his family. He enlisted in the Army September 24, 1945, during World II. Frank was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, which he helped build in 1981. He was a well-known masonry contractor for 58 years. He was a wonderful brick layer that always believed in perfection. He built many homes and businesses in and around Morgantown, which are not only his legacy, but a testament of his hard work and dedication to the foundation of this town. He is survived by a son Rick Sovastion of Morgantown, Diana Jabour and spouse Elias of Port Orange, Florida, Debra Coles and spouse Rick of Morgantown, and Denise Pettit and spouse J.C. of Star City. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Chasity Nelson, Tiffany Barnett, Kristy Pratt, Justin Jabour, Taylor Sovastion, Allison Pettit, Hannah Sovastion, and Andrea Pettit. Also 8 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and brother Ludwig Sovastion of Morgantown. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by an infant son Frank Sovastion Jr, one brother Michael Sovastion of Tennessee, and two sisters; Anne Smith of New York, and Helen Vandervort of Morgantown. He will be dearly missed and eternally live in the hearts and memories of all those who knew him. Friends may be received at Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 308 Elmhurst Street on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 5-8 and again on Thursday from 9-10 with service immediately following with Rev. Douglas Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 9916 and WVANG. Arrangements are under the direction of Fred L.
