Frank Allen Paris Frank Allen Paris, 81, of Star City, WV, passed away in the company of family on Saturday, August 4, 2012. He was born April 3, 1931 in Morgantown, WV, son of the late Rosanna Paris and Frank Paris, Sr. He graduated from St. Francis High School in 1948. After graduation, he served in the US Air Force in communications with a rank of Staff Sargent. He served in the Korean conflict and received an honorable discharge. Following his discharge, he returned to Morgantown, married and settled in Star City, WV, and began his occupation as an electrician through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (I.B.E.W.) Local 425 for 55 years. He served as an Executive Board Officer for I.B.E.W. Local 425 and received a Lifetime Member Award for outstanding service. He served as a Star City Volunteer Firefighter in younger years and on the Star City Code Enforcement Department in later years. He was a member of the Lion's Club, and a life-long member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was well-loved and surrounded by family, friends and colleagues. Frank was known for his smile and his generosity; he always lent a hand to those in need. He loved woodworking and construction as evident by the many homes and buildings he worked on throughout the Morgantown and Pittsburgh areas. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Johnson Paris; five children and their spouses, Michael and Terry Paris, Debbie and Ed McCardle, Stephen and Sharmon Paris, Marsha and Allan Dietz, and Larry and Betsy Paris; thirteen grandchildren, Matthew Paris, Dillon McCardle, Hannah McCardle, Colin McCardle, Misty Dougherty, Bobby Beltner, Wendy Graff, James Paris, Sean Paris, Justin Dietz, Josh Dietz, Garrett Paris and Grant Paris; eight great-grandchildren, Hailey Dougherty, Briana Dougherty, Jordyn Dougherty, Logan Beltner, Natalie Beltner, Ethan Graff, Mason Graff, and Jude Paris. Frank fought a courageous battle with diabetes. His family would like to thank the many caretakers and medical personnel who helped him through the years with this challenge, with a special thanks to the Star City and Mon County EMS teams, and the assisting Star City Police Officers. Friends may be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral on South High Street, Morgantown, WV on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday with Fr. John V.
