Frances Mcdonald

Frances McDonald, 95, entered into rest Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Meadow View Manor, Bridgeport. She was born in Morgantown, WV on May 28, 1922 to the late Walter and Beatrice (Dawson) Burns.

Frances was a member of the Rock Forge Presbyterian Church. She worked at Morgan Shirt Factory, WVU Hospitals dietary department, and Hills Department Store. She married the late Jesse M. McDonald December 27, 1937 and celebrated their marriage for 62 years. Frances enjoyed being a member of Senior Monongalians and Harrison County Senior Center.

She loved painting, gardening, going for walks, playing bingo and dominoes, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by daughter Pamela and spouse Gary who she loved like her own son; half-brother Walter “Buck” Burns; step sister, Mary Cox; grandchildren, Cynthia Bennett Bucy and spouse Bob; Joseph Bennett and wife Jennifer, Tracie Cooper Palmer and Joe, Chad Cooper; great-grandchildren, Will, Hannah, Kylie, Aaron, Brice, Josiah, Lilah Grace, and Garrett.

In addition to her parents and husband, Frances is preceded in death by a daughter, Joy Louise McDonald Bennett; sons, Allan Lee McDonald and infant triplet sons, Michael, Marion, and Mark; step-mother Gail Burns; brothers Ralph and Melvin Burns; step brother William Llewellyn; sister Hazel Tang; half-sister Barbara Rogers; sister-in-law and close friend Hazel McDonald.

Family and friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Friday, November 3rd from 4pm until 8pm. Visitation will continue Saturday, November 4th from 9:30am until the time of service at 10am with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
