Fonda Sue Glover

Fonda Sue Glover, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2023, in Morgantown, West Virginia, after a long illness. Born on November 1, 1947, in Kingwood, West Virginia, Fonda was the daughter of the late Gorman and Georgia Ross Glover.


Fonda was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debra Miller, and her brothers William Glover, Everett 'Buck' Glover, and Gorman 'Bubby' Glover. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Virginia May Harris, Florence Stacy, and Pat Pechinko.


Fonda is survived by her loving children, Cassandra Sue Kisner, Fonda Renee (Bud) Hawkins, and Robert Lee (Deni Lynn) Lewis. She was a proud grandmother to Tierra Dawn Walker, Joseph C. Thomas Blosser, Garrett Hawkins, Dillan Hawkins, Hannah Miller, Cierra Miller, Trenton Lewis, and Landon Lewis. Fonda was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Josephine Blosser, Marcus, Evea & Dominick, brother Alfred ‘Junior’ Glover. Her faithful canine companion, Baby, will miss her dearly.


Fonda worked in housekeeping at the Hotel Morgan, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. She was an active member of her community and enjoyed participating in local events and associations.


In her free time, Fonda loved exploring local hotspots and taking trips to Atlantic City and Pepsi. She had always dreamed of visiting Las Vegas. Fonda was a loving, fun, and generous person who brought joy and laughter to everyone she met. Her warm spirit and kind heart will be remembered by all who knew her.


Fonda's life was a testament to the power of family, love, and friendship. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and countless friends and relatives who were fortunate enough to know her. Fonda's legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire and uplift those who were touched by her presence.


Fonda’s request for cremation has been honored by her family. A memorial service will be held at Nicholson Chapel Church, Summer School Road, Morgantown, on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 2 PM, with Pastors Doug & Beth Steele officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather one hour prior. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home.
