Everett E. DeVall, 73, of Fairmont, formerly of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at John Manchin, Sr. Health Care Center in Fairmont. He was born June 12, 1948, in Glade Meadow of Valley Point, WV, a son of Elmer Carlus and Bernice Virginia Groves DeVall.
Everett enjoyed hunting, fishing, and listening to Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball on the radio. During his youth, he worked on the family farm. Employment included the Albright Sawmill, Burhl Groves Construction, and Giant Eagle. Most of his adult life, he helped care for his brother, Robert, and also his mother in her later years.
He is survived by his sisters Barbara June Richards of Albright, Jacquelene Rose Richards of Morgantown, Pamela Sherren and husband Richard of Pataskala, OH; nine nieces and nephews, and several cousins, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Robert Llwellyn DeVall and Roger Lee DeVall; and a niece.
Visitation will be held at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church 8961 North Preston Highway, Albright, WV 26519 on Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 11am until the time of funeral service at noon with Pastor Tim Edin officiating. Everett will be laid to rest at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Masks are required for all who are attending the visitation and service.
