EVA LEE SHADE 57, a lifetime resident of Morgantown, born January 27, 1956 at Vincent Pallotti Hospital to the proud parents of Darnell and Irene Miller Shade. She passed away peacefully following a short and courageous battle with cancer on May 29, 2013. She was an avid reader and very passionate for the game of tennis and University High School sports. Eva was a trained nurse with the Valley Community Mental Health Center. Years later she relocated to Washington, DC and work with domestic violence against women and children. In her later years she return home and began a new career working for ICT and TeleTech, as a customer services representative. Her love and devotion for family was always foremost in her heart, her active role of support and mentoring was her greatest achievement; especially concerning a host of nephews and nieces. She is survived by brothers, her twin Pete Shade and wife Ruth, Tony Shade of Clarksburg, Daniel Shade Nichols of Virginia. Also sisters Minnie Riley of Ohio, Debbie Riley Young of Michigan, Sharon Riley Tipton of Michigan; also brothers Gary Fleming of Fairmont, Terry Lake and Willie J. Riley of Morgantown. A host of nieces: Jeanie Brown, Jennifer Shade, Malaika Ashworth, Damia Dobbs, god niece Ja'layla Shade, Tasha Shade, Myka Riley Kennedy, Debbie Smith, Saundra Riley, and Sara Nichols. In addition nephews: Chad Shade, Zack Wilson, Ryan Shade, Tony M. Shade, Bryan Riley, Jason Dobbs, John-Vincent Nichols, Stephen Nichols, Terry W. Lake, Aaron Hill-Rosiak, and her very favorite Isaiah Shade. SHE LOVED EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU! Family members also include many cousins and extend family and friends; especially her sister-in-law Jennifer Craddock Shade. Her dearest friends and emotion/support over the years have been Patty Glover and Sherry Brown Jackson. LOVE AND MANY THANKS! She was preceded in death by grandparents Dan and Savannah Miller Boykin and step-grandfather Samuel Boykin. Also her parents Darnell and Irene Miller Shade; Aunts Ida Madison, and Ora Foster, followed by uncle Richard (Redman) Miller; and cousin Midge Jennings, and her beloved older brother Arthur James Shade. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Sunday June 2, 2013 from 3-5pm, Monday from 3-5pm & 7-9pm and again on Tuesday from 10am until the time of funeral services at 11am with Pastors Wesley Dobbs and Patricia Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
