Eva Janie George

Eva Janie George, 78, of Mansfield, OH, formally of Fairmont, WV passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022 at her home, peacefully in her sleep. She was born August 18, 1943 in Nicholas County, WV, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Genevie Martin. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a homemaker who loved cooking and caring for her family. She was a member of First Apostolic Church. She is survived by three sons Donald George, Ronald George, and James George all of Ohio; five daughters Betty O’Scier and husband Tom, Polly Bresock, Candy Roby and husband Glenn all of Ohio, Barbara Reed of Morgantown, Ellen Gillespie and husband Chuck of Fairmont; two step-daughters Debbie Sours and husband Clarence of Ohio and Bonnie Zatta and husband Ed of New Jersey; one sister Irene Holmes; two brothers Roney Martin and Billy Barnett; 15 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years Albert George; one son Jesse George; three sons-in-law Alfred Reed, Jeffery Bresock, Joey Rivenbark; one brothers Artinnes Martin and three grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 1pm with Rev. Wheeler Estepp officiating. Eva will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
