Eula Ann Cox, age 89, passed away peacefully at her home on June 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on July 7, 1935, Eula lived a life full of grace, compassion, and unwavering love for her family.
A devoted homemaker, Eula was the heart of her home and the light of so many lives. She was the most unselfish angel, a nurturing presence to everyone she met. Whether you called her Mom, Sister, Aunt, or Grandma, you knew you were deeply loved. She had a special way of making everyone feel important, and her love ran deep for every generation of her family.
Eula had a passion for baking and was known for dancing around her kitchen to her favorite classic country songs, filling her home with the smell of something sweet and the sound of joy.
She is survived by her daughter, Diann (Tim) Galford, and her son, David (Renee) Cox; her beloved grandchildren, Tifanie Gerard (Joshua), Shaina Galford, Alex Cox and Ryan Corbin; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Skylar, Avery, Savannah, and Wyatt. She is also survived by her sisters, Sandy Castelli and Linda Townsend; and her brothers, Edward Layman, Jim Layman, and Chauncy Layman.
Eula was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Edward Cox, whom she missed dearly every day since his passing in 2003; her son, Edward Cox II; her parents, Gertrude and Chauncy Layman; her infant sister, Una; her sister, Jo Petsko; and her brother, Virgil Layman.
Her love, warmth, and laughter will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her. Honoring Eula's wishes all services will be private and have been entrusted to the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.
