Ethel Mae Kimberlin

Ethel Mae Watkins Kimberlin, 90, of Morgantown, WV went to her heavenly home on October 26, 2013. She was born July2, 1923 in Kentucky, daughter to the late William and Sally Belle Salyers Watkins. Ethel graduated from Oakdale Christian High School on May 14, 1945 and married Rev. Grover Kimberlin. They were married for more than 60 years and served together in Pastorates in the Free Methodist Church for 38 years. She was active in church ministries, teaching Sunday school classes, directing church plays and singing with her husband and family in services. Ethel was a loving wife and mother, excellent cook and skilled seamstress. During her retirement years she was trained and employed as a home health aide. She most recently attended the Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church. She is survived by son, David Paul Kimberlin and wife Judy of North Carolina; daughter, Ruth Riffle and husband David of WV, who were her devoted caregivers for the last three and a half years, daughter Lillian Dolly' Ray and husband Jerry of Virginia, daughter June Kimberlin of WV; three grandchildren, Christy Boulos and husband Mike of New Jersey, Renea Bedard and husband Michel of North Carolina, Mark Hall and wife Elizabeth of New Jersey; five great grandchildren include, Lauren and Brett Bedard, Luke and Malcolm Hall and Elizabeth Boulos. Also surviving are nine step grandchildren and brothers Chester and Arthur Watkins, both of Michigan. In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by an infant sister Nannie Lou Watkins of Kentucky in 1920, sister Sarah Catherine Combs of Kentucky in 1963; brothers Paul Watkins of Michigan in 1988, Clarence Watkins of Kentucky in 2004 and Clint Watkins of Florida in 2004. Also preceding her in death was her husband Rev. Grover Kimberlin in 2006. Visitation will be held at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, 10 South High Street Morgantown, WV 26501, on Monday October 28, 2013 from 3 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm on Tuesday Oct. 29 at the Fred L. Jenkins Chapel of Prayer with Rev. Sean Wightman officiating. Burial will follow at the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
