Eneide Clementina Morony was called to her Eternal Rest on March 4th 2020 at her home. She was born on September 2, 1920 in Belforte, Italy and immigrated to the United States in February, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Aldo Vincent and Caterina Gobbi Frattini Morony.
In 1983 she retired as a bookkeeper from Davis-Lynch Glass Company and formerly the bookkeeper of the Morgantown Glassware Guild. She graduated from Morgantown High school with the class of 1939 and attended West Virginia University.
She was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Regent and member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Ursula #594, the Columbian Federation Auxiliary #42, and the Sons of Italy Lodge La Vittoria #914. She did volunteer work at the Mon General Hospital, Creative Art Center and St. Francis de Sales Funeral Luncheon Program. She dearly loved her family, neighbors, and friends and enjoyed doing crafts, traveling, baking, and gardening.
She was elated when Pope Francis reported that Pope John 23rd and Pope John Paul II were to be canonized. During her many trips to Italy and St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, she was fortunate to view in person both of these two now Saints.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters Nadia Morony Timpano and Nilva Morony Posey and husband Russell Posey, sister-in-law Dorthia Joanne Rehe Morony, brother-in-law Albert Timpano, niece Patricia Renee Posey and grand-nephew Christopher Morgan.
She is survived by her brothers: Ives G. Morony of Upper Marlboro, MD., Otis V. Morony and wife Diane of Willowick, Ohio, cousins in Italy, several nieces and nephews and a very special niece Debora Timpano Vose of Springboro, Ohio.
Friends and family will be received at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home on Sunday March 8th, 2020 from 2 pm to 6pm with a prayer service at 5:30pm to conclude visitation. Visitation will continue at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Parish on Monday from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am with Rev. Msgr. Anthony Cincinnati, S.T.D. as celebrant. Eneide will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to: St. Francis de Sales Memorial Fund at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, 1 Guthrie Lane, Morgantown, WV 26508 or a Charitable organization of their choice.
