Elizabeth Riley

Elizabeth Riley 88, of Morgantown, passed away Friday February 8, 2013 at her home. She was born June 24, 1924 in Maidsville a daughter of the late Louis and Julie Seggie Vargo. Elizabeth was a member and enjoyed going to Bethel Church on the Halleck Rd. She also enjoyed flower gardening, feeding birds, and rescuing stray cats. She is survived by two sisters Lydia Hoffmeyer of CA, Esther Hiser of Morgantown; her caretaker Mary Hiser of Morgantown; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Riley; three brothers Louis Vargo, Paul Vargo, Joe Vargo; and a sister Julia Markland. The family would like to thank Morgantown Hospice for all of their care and support, and Allison who would read the Bible to Elizabeth. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Monday February 11, 2013 from 10am until the time of service at 12pm noon with Pastor Ed Moats officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
