Earl William Darnell age 66 of Point Marion Road Morgantown passed away peacefully Saturday September 8, 2018 at J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was surrounded by his loved ones.

Son of the late Albert and Ruth (Criss) Darnell. Earl was born August 3, 1952 in Morgantown West Virginia. He worked various positions at the Peerless Laundry service and most recently drove a truck for them. When Earl was not working hard on the job he liked to fish or work as a mechanic, as he was considered to be good with is hands.

Earl is survived by his wife of 44 years, Alisa Eakin Darnell; four children, Elton J. Darnell, Patrick J. Darnell, Peggy P. Darnell, and Samuel J. Darnell; three grandchildren, Clifford O. Costello-Darnell, Mark A. Harris, and Brandon S. Darnell; sister, Linda King (Donnie); brother, Albert Darnell, Jr, of Gans, PA; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Earl was preceded in death by his sisters, Elaine “Sis” Bishop, Sarah Salsberry, Nellie Shrout, and Bertha “Tinnie” Swihart; Sister in-law, Shirley Darnell.

Family and Friends will be received at Fred Jenkins Funeral Home, Monday, September 10 from 4pm until 8pm. Visitation will continue Tuesday from 6pm until time of service at 7pm with Pastor John Sommers officiating. Cremation will follow honoring his request.
