E. Ren�E Root Kisner

Rene Root Kisner, 65, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of the late Fred W. and Leah M. Sanders Root, she was born May 4, 1951 in Morgantown. Rene retired from WVU communications studies after 30 years of service. She was everyone's favorite aunt and was like a mother to many. She was a member of Cheat Lake Community Church and she loved to read. She is survived by her husband, Larry Kisner; a daughter, Leigh-Anne Kisner Erdie; a son, Larry (Bud) Kisner, Jr.; three grandchildren, Sean Kisner, Reneea Erdie, Rayven Booker; a sister, Leah Root Haught, and her husband, Jim; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Leah Kisner. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Rene's life at 3 p.m. at the Cheat Lake Community Church, Saturday, July 30, 2016, with John Sommers officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rene's memory to Cheat Lake Community Church, 527 Tyrone Rd. Morgantown, WV 26508. Rene, who was always willing to help others, continued her legacy by donating her corneas to the Medical Eye Bank of West Virginia.
