Druzella Mcdonald

Druzella Marie McDonald, 71, of Morgantown, WV, passed away peacefully Friday, May 9, 2014, at her home. She was born in Grafton, W.Va., on July 7, 1942, a daughter of the late Claudine (Kennedy) and Clarence Dewey McDonald. Druzella was a member of the Jesus Mission of Osage, WV. She loved to sing and also loved to cook. Travelling was a favorite pastime of hers and her former husband, Thomas "Tom" Cooley. Druzella and her former husband also enjoyed time together having picnics and going to the drive-in movies. Druzella has held several work positions throughout her life. She was employed at West Virginia Department of Social Services, the Historical Downtown Hotel Morgan, a Seamstress at Dunlop, professional housekeeping and worked in their own family restaurant in Osage, WV. Druzella had a big heart, a great sense of humor that kept her family and friends with laughter and loved her "red" lipstick. Druzella also had a great admiration for all animals -- whether it was cats or dogs, and even birds! Druzella is survived by her six children. She had two sons, Richard McDonald (Patricia) his seven children [Richard III, Mitchell, Aaron, Joshua, Shanetha, Casey & Leo], Michael Cooley (Amy) and his three children [Nathan, David & Jake], and three daughters, Lenora "Jeannie" McDonald (companion, Tojhia Dawson), Lori Cooley-Stephens and daughter [Alexis], Cheryl Cooley (Carlos Miranda) and daughter [Lindsay], and Susan Cooley and daughter [Barbara]. She is also survived by 14 grand-children, one great-grandson, Kyree Hutchinson, two brothers, Earl and Ronald, and four sisters Lenora (and John) Davenport, Louise Peterangelo, and Magalene (and Marion) Hilson, along with a host of nieces and nephews and very special friends, Kitty Hughes, Lois "Sissy" Jones, Miss Sara, Jimmy Boyd, Tiadawn Uphold, and Brandy Johnson (niece). She was preceded in death by her brothers, Vincent (and Marcilla) McDonald, Leo McDonald, Ralph McDonald and Harlan McDonald; and one sister, Mary Collins; and a great-granddaugther, Sophie Marie.
