Dr. Ruth Rosemarie Von Gustedt

Dr. Ruth Rosemarie von Gustedt, 80, of Morgantown passed away Tuesday December 4, 2012 at Monongalia General Hospital. She was born July 7, 1932 in Stuttgart Germany. She immigrated to the U.S. from Germany in 1969 and became a naturalized citizen in 1975. She had a deep love and passion for the United States of America. Ruth held multiple Masters Degrees from West Virginia University including Masters in Social Work. She also earned her Ed. D from West Virginia University. During her career she worked as a Professor at West Virginia University. She was also a Licensed Social Worker and Licensed Counselor. She had her own private Counseling Practice in Morgantown before retiring in 2010. Ruth also attended Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Morgantown. She is survived by two sons Andrew J. von Gustedt and wife Susan of West Palm Beach, FL, Oliver H. von Gustedt of Denver, CO; and a good friend Janice Magro of Morgantown. Ruth was formally married to the late Eric Henry von Gustedt. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Thursday December 6, 2012 from 7-9pm and again on Friday from 9:30am until time of funeral services at 10:30am with Pastor Douglas Miller offciating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
