Dougall Campbell Martin, Jr., 86, of Morgantown, lost his battle with cancer on Monday May 19, 2014. He was born January 4, 1928 in Paden City, WV son of the late Dougall C. Martin, Sr. and Edith Sims Martin. Dougall was a United States Marine and served during World War II. He was a member of the US Marine Corp League #342. Dougall worked as a plumbing inspector for the state of Ohio and was the Chief Plumbing Inspector for the City of Dayton, OH. He returned to Morgantown and operated his own plumbing business, DC Martin Plumbing and Heating. He was a talented inventor and designer. He was Christian by faith. Dougall is survived by his wife Mrs. Doloris Burbridge Martin of Morgantown; daughter, Kelly Martin Wessman and husband Eric of Charlotte, NC; two granddaughters, Katie and Riley Wessman; one sister, Rachel Hagedorn of Morgantown; brother-in-law, Charles Burbridge of Masontown, WV and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Mae Castle and Norma Jean Brass and two brothers, LeRoy Martin and Keith Martin. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Thursday May 22, 2014 from 5pm until 8pm and again on Friday from noon until time of services at 1pm with Pastor John Sommers officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hills Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Marine Corps League and the USMC, Pittsburgh, PA.
