Dottie Rue Boswell, 90, of New Martinsville, WV died Monday March 27, 2023 at Stonerise Skilled Nursing Facility in Morgantown, WV after a brief illness. She was born in Harrison Township, OH but was raised in Roanoke, VA.


Dottie was a homemaker and raised a family of four in New Martinsville,WV, moving to Morgantown after her husband passed away in 2011. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in New Martinsville, WV and was an active member with the Democratic Women's Committee. She was actively involved with her children and grandchildren and all their activities. Dottie was one of two children.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Boswell; father, Archibald Graly; mother, Darlene Kallner Graly; and sister, Betty Young. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Boswell Chambers, husband Dennis, and their two children, Edward and Virginia of Morgantown, WV; her daughter Susan Boswell Bunner, husband Jim of Parkersburg, WV, and their daughter Charlotte Romberger and husband Tyler of Morgantown, WV; her son Michael Boswell and wife Rosemary of Chesterfield, VA; and her daughter Beth Boswell Fuller, husband Roger, and their two children, Alayna and Emma of Morgantown, WV.


Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home in Morgantown on Saturday April 1, 2023 from 9:00-11:00 am, immediately followed by a Christian Service officiated by Rev. Dr. Ken Ramsey at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
