Dorthy Bolyard

Dorthy Elizabeth Bolyard, 90, of Wana, WV passed away Tuesday December 15, 2015 at Monongalia General Hospital. She was born June 27, 1925 in Morgantown a daughter of the late Harold and Suzanna Catherine Wilson Gallagher.

Dorthy worked many years as a seamstress for Rental Uniform Service and was also a babysitter. She enjoyed traveling, camping, and the outdoors. She also loved telling stories, gardening, and her dogs.

She is survived by two sons Garry L. Bolyard of Morgantown, James Michael Bolyard and wife Marlyn of Wana, WV; daughter Cherie L. Hartley and husband Robert of Leesville, SC; 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Dorthy was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Bolyard; son Alan Ray Bolyard; daughter Susan Bolyard; three brothers and two sisters; and a grandson Donald Len Hartley.

Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday December 18, 2015 from 11am until the time of funeral services at 1pm with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.

The family requests that those who plan to attend services please dress casually, in honor of Dorthy.
