Dorothy Jean Sine

Dorothy Jean Gibson Walls Sine, 95, was called to heaven on Sunday, February 6, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. Dorothy was born on February 1, 1927 in Morgantown, WV, daughter to the late Charles and Icie Gibson. Dorothy’s kindness touched everyone she reached, and she loved spending time with those closest to her. Dorothy had many hobbies and interests – traveling, reading, gardening, listening to the birds, and cheering on the Mountaineers! A wonderful example of faith, Dorothy was a long-standing member of the Pierpont Church of the Nazarene. Dorothy was blessed with a large and loving family. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Roger Walls, Judy McDonald, Mike (& MaryAnne) Walls, Terry (& Cheryl) Walls, Vickie Walls, and Dee (& Jason) Ross. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Michelle Crawford Coxon, Sondra Brown, Jimmy Leach, Julie Leach, Alexandria Walls Capan, Jeremy Walls, Jaime Jefferson Dorsey, Derek Jefferson, Michael Walls, and Jarred Ross. Dorothy was a great-grandmother, “GG,” to 20. Additional survivors include her sister (& her husband) Peggy (& Bill) Mullins; and many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her daughters, Donna “Jeannie” Crawford and Tina Jefferson; and her siblings, Irvin Gibson, Betty Hiner, Helen McIntire; David Gibson, JoAnn Shahan, Allen Gibson. Family and friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 11 am - 1 pm, with funeral services beginning at 1 pm. Burial will follow immediately at Eden United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pastor Ken Cordray officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to The Pantry Plus More.
