Dorothy B. Snider McCormick,

89, of the Brookhaven community, passed away Friday morning, April 27, 2018, at the home of her daughter, Tammy.

The daughter of the late Leo Joy Snider and Nellie Mae Snider Davis she was born, December 27, 1928 in Morgantown.

Dorothy was a member of The Word of Life Tabernacle.

Dorothy is survived by three children: Gerald McCormick and his wife, Shirley of Morgantown, Bonnie Johnson of Warren, OH, and Tammy Phillips of Morgantown; a daughter in law, Velma McCormick of Morgantown; two siblings, Leo Joy Snider, Jr. of Morgantown and Judy Matthews of Springfield, VA; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Dewey Albert McCormick; a son, David William McCormick; infant son, Robert Leroy McCormick; brothers: Virgil Snider, Donald Snider, and Victor Snider; one grandchild, four great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Family and friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Monday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm and again on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 12pm until the 1 pm funeral service with Pastor Elmer Nicholson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Union Cemetery, Morgantown.
