Dorothy J. Black

Dorothy J. Black, 87 of Westover, passed away Sunday May 6, 2012 at her home. She was born February 26, 1925 in Clearfield, TN the daughter of the late Ambrose Johnson Brotherton and Bessie Mae Brotherton. She was a mother, homemaker and a light hearted soul. She fought resiliently through many health problems over the years. She is survived by wonderful care giver and daughter Judy A. Clark and daughter Julie A. Wright and one son Carl Black; sister Betty Skotnicki and brothers Mick and Earl Brotherton as well as grandson Matthew Eakin and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joel A. Black, Sr.; two sons, Joel A. Black, Jr., and James Black; brother Gene Brotherton and a sister Edna Dutch' Holbert Honoring Dorothy's wishes private graveside services were held Monday May 7, 2012 at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens with Pastor Craig Falkenstine officiating.
