Doris Swihart Burnette White

Doris Swihart Burnette White, 71, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family, on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Doris was born in Morgantown on December 16, 1950 daughter to Kenneth J. & Dorothy Pauline Nabors Swihart. Doris spent many years as a private duty caregiver & was a blessing to the families she cared for. Her greatest joy in life was her family, she loved spending time with them. Doris had an infectious smile & a great sense of humor. She brightened every room she walked into & could tear up a karaoke machine. She is survived by her beloved husband, Randy Allen White, who stood by her side throughout her battle; her children, Timothy Charles Burnette & fiancée Amelia Foreman, Stephanie & Kenny Willis, Tammy & Stephen Pirlo, Tyler & Tess Fike & Adam White; grandchildren, Kali, Tanner, Jaxson, Addison, Stella & Leila; one great grandson, Odin. Also surviving is her sister, Maryann & Danny Baker; numerous nieces & nephews who she loved dearly & her best friend of more than 60 years, Jackie Byuse. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Beverly Jane Baker, nephew, Daniel Kenneth Baker & granddaughter, Rylee Sierra Burnette. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home from 2-8 PM & again on Friday from noon until time of services at 1 PM. She will be laid to rest at the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to Mary Mays for standing by the family & being a good friend to Doris, Sherry Bosley for taking such good care of her & Carla and Char from Amedisys Hospice for her compassion.
