Doris Louise Sickles

Doris Louise Sickles, 81, of Aarons Creek Rd passed away at home on July 8 2018 surrounded by her family. Doris was born June 1, 1937 in Core; daughter to the late Lonnie and Frances Malott.

Doris’s life revolved around her family. She was a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. She devoted her life to raising children of her own as well as those of others while helping to maintain the family farm.

She is survived by her son Robert and wife Vivian, her son James and wife Judy, daughter Linda Mueller and companion Craig, daughter Lisa Clemmer and companion Rob, and daughter in law Gloria Sickles. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and their spouses and 20 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters Lenora Bussey and Gloria Colebank and many nieces/nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Warren H. “Buz” Sickles, Jr., an infant daughter, son Larry Edward Sickles, brothers Leroy and Robert Malott.

Family will receive friends at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 4-8pm and again on Thursday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Pastor Damon Nicholson officiating. Doris will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Bethel Cemetery.
