Doris J. Leach, 82 of Morgantown passed away Saturday August 13, 2011 at the Monongalia General Hospital. Doris was born July 7, 1929 in Tunnelton, WV daughter to the late Peter A. Bennett and Edna M. Hooton Bennett. Doris worked as a private duty nurse and later as a waitress and cook. Doris was a member of the VFW Post 9916 Ladies Auxiliary and the Spruce Street United Methodist Church. Doris is survived by five sons, Raymond Lee Stawser and spouse Linda, David Allen Stawser both of Morgantown, Robert Paul Stawser of Arizona, Michael Ammons and spouse Penny of Daybrook and Charles Ray Leach Jr and wife Bobbie of Morgantown; four daughters, Rosemary Frankhouser of Arizona, Doris Jean Zinn and spouse Fred, Pamela Sue DeVall and spouse Billy, Virginia Kay Blosser and fiancé Mike Boken all of Morgantown; sisters, Betty Stone of Hunker, PA and Judy Banks of Morgantown. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren and a very close friend Abigail Baldwin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Strawser, second husband Charles Ray Leach, Sr.; brother Paul Andrew Bennett, three infant brothers, and sister Shirley Johnson. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm and again on Wednesday from 10am until the time of services at 11am with Pastor Bill Winston officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hills Cemetery.
