Doris Louise Harrigan

Doris Louise Harrigan, 84 of Elkton, MD, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Deer Park, MD, on September 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Frank and the late Margaret (Williams) Murphy. She is survived by her children: Miriam Rice of North East, MD, Mary Jane Harrigan of Elkton, MD, Carl Brady of North East, MD, Caroline Rinehart of Elkton, MD, Doris Jean Nelson of FL, Clarence Brady, Edna Brady of Finksburg, MD and William Brady of Elkton, MD; her siblings: Leah Faye Hines, Jane Harvey, Peggy Aiken, Loretta McClurg, Barbara Reiner, Sandra Alt, Harland Murphy and Jason Murphy; 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dianne Binion; and siblings: Frank Murphy, Jr., John Murphy and Margaret Braham. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Saturday October 23, 2010 from 12noon until time of services at 1pm with Pastor Willard Rowan officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to give a special thank you to her caregivers, Mary Jane, Miriam, Caroline and her granddaughter Kimberly Rice and also a special thank you to her guardian angels, Ellis Benjamin and Conley Rinehart.
