Donna Sue Simpson

Donna Sue Susie' Simpson, 60 of Morgantown passed away Sunday December 20, 2009 at her home. She was born November 14, 1949 in Morgantown daughter of Darrell and Marjorie Simpson of Morgantown. Susie grew up in Morgantown and graduated from Morgantown High School class of 1967, and later was a graduate of the Morgantown Beauty School. She worked as a beautician for a few years in the Morgantown area and later attended WVU and earned a Bachelor of Science in Textiles and Clothing. After graduating she worked at JC Penney Department store. She relocated to Boynton Beach, Florida in the 80s and remained there for nearly 15 years before returning to Morgantown to care for her parents. Susie had many hobbies including, baking,crafts, sewing and shopping. In addition to her parents Darrell and Marjorie Simpson, Susie is survived by her brothers; Kevin Simpson and wife Linda of Ridgeley, WV, Bradley Simpson and wife Loraine Simpson of New Richmond, OH, and Brian Simpson of Morgantown; sister Kris Oconnell of Morgantown; four nephews, Brady Simpson and wife Alisa of Ridgeley, WV, Jared Simpson and wife Heidi of Springfield, WV, and Joshua and Tyler Oconnell of Morgantown; great nieces Alivia and MacKenzie and great nephew Logan; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. She was preceded in death by her sister Cheryl Simpson. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday Dec. 22 from 1-3 and 5-7pm and again on Wednesday from 10am until time of services at 11am. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hills Cemetery.
