Dolorita Renee Vankirk

Dolorita Renee Soccorsi Vankirk, 49 of Grafton Rd. Morgantown entered the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Sunday May 9, 2010 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Renee was born September 22, 1960 in Morgantown daughter of Franklin D. Soccorsi of Morgantown and Mary Guido Soccorsi of Masontown, WV. Renee was employed by WVU Hospitals as a Clinical Associate for more than 29 years. She had many hobbies and interests including WVU Football, NASCAR and motorcycles. In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband of 18 years David R. Vankirk of Morgantown, daughter Arielle M. Vankirk of Morgantown; sisters, Denise A. Soccorsi of Morgantown, Bernadette M. Long and husband Luigi of Morgantown; brothers, Franklin L. Soccorsi and wife Diana of Fort Mills, SC, Joseph G. Soccorsi and wife Shelly of Morgantown and Vincent M. Soccorsi of Masontown, WV. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Wednesday May 12, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-9pm and again on Thursday from 10am until time of services at 11am. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memorial Gardens, Kingwood, WV. The family would like to thank the staff and co-workers at Ruby Memorial Hospital especially 7 East, SNU and Dr. Thomas Hogan and assistants.
