Dixie Lea Mccuskey

Dixie Lea Smith McCuskey, 52, of Granville and Cassville, was swept up into the arms of the angels with her family by her side on Friday April 12, 2013. Dixie was born August 3, 1960 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Franklin Smith and Alonda Mae Woody Smith. She was a homemaker for many years and took great pride in raising her three children. She is survived by two sons, William J. McCuskey and wife Amanda and John F. McCuskey; one daughter Christina McCuskey all of Morgantown, who lovingly stood by her side and seven grandchildren who she loved and cherished. Also surviving are four sisters, Wanda Woody of Harrisonburg, VA, Donna Woody, Elaine Boyers and husband Jim and Dolly Smith all of Morgantown; three brothers, Franklin Smith, Sr., of Waynesburg, PA, Gary Woody of Harrisonburg, VA, and Gary Smith of Morgantown. She was also loved by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Debbie Cozad, Jackie Lemasters and Rose Marie Smith; two brothers Lester Woody and Butch Smith. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Wednesday April 17, 2013 from 4-8pm and again on Thursday from 10am until time of services at 11am. Cremation will follow. The family would like to offer special thanks to Dr. Ronald Pellegrino at the Medical Group Practice, WVU Hospitals for his tender and gentle care.
