DeWayne (Skipper) Toothman Jr., 57 of Morgantown passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at his residence. He was born July 7, 1956 in Morgantown, the son of DeWayne Toothman Sr., of Morgantown and the late Mary Lou Pitman Toothman. Skipper was employed as a truck driver, served his country in the US Air Force and a protestant by faith. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife Shirley, two sons Roger Rye and Robert Rye both of Morgantown; 3 brothers James Toothman and companion Erin McBee of Morgantown, Phillip Toothman and spouse Kala of Lincoln, Delaware, and Gerald Toothman of Morgantown. Also surviving is a grandson Bryson Rye and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 9:30am until the time of services at 12noon with Rev. Johnny Whitehair officiating. Burial will follow in the West Virginia National Cemetery, Pruntytown, with full military honors by the Taylor County Color Guard and members of the US Air Force. The family request that donations be made to the funeral home to help offset funeral cost.
