Dent L. Lease, Sr.

Dent L. Lease Sr., 72 passed away on Friday, May 14, 2010 at Golden LivingCenter. He was born October 25, 1937 in Morgantown, the son of the late Leonard and Anna Mae Stark Lease. Dent was employed as a coal miner for 24 years for JJ Mining Company and enjoyed country music and playing slot machines at Frank’s Arcade. Dent is survived by 2 sons and 4 daughters Dent Lease Jr of Smithfield, PA, Mike Lease of Grafton, WV, Brenda Johnson of Sabraton, Beverly Lease of Dorsey Ave., Diana Karr of Collins Ferry Rd., and Betty Lipscomb of Morgantown; also surviving are 10 grandchildren Craig and Justin Lease, Susie Miller, Chuckie Swift, Tiffany Johnson, Ashley, Kimberly and Ben Lease, April Karr and Travis Lipscomb.2 great grandchildren Mariah and Donavon Miller. Also surviving are 4 brothers and 1 sister Glen Lease of Sandusky, OH., Sam Lease of Westover, Jake Lease of Jakes Run, Chester Lease of Fairmont and Clara Mae Lease of Pa. In addition to his parents, Dent was preceded in death by a sister Delores Deem. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 5-7pm and again on Thursday from 12 noon until the time of services at 1pm with Pastor Donald Titchnell Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the East Oak Grove Cemetery.
