On the 27th day of January 2014, Dennis Franklin "Frank" Casino went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by his loving family at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a month long fight with an unexpected illness. Frank was born on June 19, 1946 a son to the late Fred L. Casino and Dorothy Savage Casino of Star City. Frank, a respected electrician by trade, is known in this community as a very generous, kind, and selfless man. He was a friend to everyone. He never met a stranger and had a smile on his face constantly. He would give of himself when he didn't have it to give. He cured sadness with a strong hug and wiped tears with his calloused hard-working hands; his laugh was contagious and his smile, angelic. Frank is referred to by many as the strongest man they've ever known and he showed it in his final days. Frank is survived by his wife of 48 years Sue Bayles-Casino; daughter Kimberly George and husband Joel George; daughter Kelly Casino; daughter Krystal Burns and husband Raymond Burns; seven grandchildren Ashley, April and Alyssa George, Jamie McCord, Emily Lipscomb, and Kolton and Rylee Burns; also three honorary grandsons Dyllan Johnson, Ryan Walther, and Nick Lawrence. Frank is also survived by two brothers Ed Casino, James Casino and wife Bonita Casino; sister-in-law Teresa Vallelonga, as well as many nieces and nephews. Frank is further survived by his uncle James "Moose" Casino and wife Betty Casino; aunt Ruth "Babe" Stephens and husband Johnnie Stephens; aunt Jean Bitoni and uncle Frank Bitoni, as well as many cousins. The Casino Family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the love and support of the staff in the MICU and on 10 West at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Frank has left quite a mark on the community and on the lives of everyone that knew him. He will be truly missed but will live on in the lives of his soul mate Sue, his daughters and grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents Minnie and Joseph Casino and Bruce and Ida Savage; brother Fred Casino and wife Tony Casino of Star City. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Thursday January 30, 2014 from 4pm-9pm and again on Friday from 10am until the time of funeral services at 11am with Pastor Wanda Brosky officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
