Delbert Thurman Taylor, 92, of Snake Hill Road departed this life, March 6, 2015, at Point Manor Personal Care Home in Pt. Marion, PA. He was born September 19, 1922, in Preston County, WV, the son of the late Russell Vance and Hattie Olive Taylor. He retired in 1984 from Sterling Faucet Company in Morgantown, after more than 40 years of service as a moulder. He was a member of the United Steel Workers of America, Local #6214. He enjoyed hunting and gardening. He attended Riverside Apostolic Church. He is survived by one daughter, Connie May and husband Calvin Edgell of Morgantown, three grandchildren, Michelle Britton and spouse James, Stephanie Snider and spouse Richard and Wesley Edgell all of Morgantown; three great grandsons, Caleb Britton, Joshua Britton and Jaceb Stewie Edgell all of Morgantown; one sister Olive Gennoy of Maidsville, two half-sisters, Ida Wilson and Elnora Whetzel both of Mathias, WV. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Sylvia May Taylor on May 5, 2001; two brothers, Glen and Lawrence Taylor; one half-brother, Garland Vance and one grandson Calvin Bradley Edgell. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Monday, March 9, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm and again on Tuesday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Bishop David M. Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hills Cemetery.
