Delbert Horace Dalton

Delbert Horace Dalton, age 63, of Morgantown, WV passed away at his residence on Thursday, July 7, 2022. He was born January 6, 1959 in Grafton, WV; a son of the late Horace and Lilian Dalton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Blanche Dalton; and his brother-in-law, Fred.

He is survived by his companion of 26 years, Barbara Pritt; a son, Delbert Dalton (Tiffany); three daughters, Sarah Baker, Belinda Hicks, and Rachel Pritt ; his brothers, Clayton Dalton (Linda) and Eddie Dalton; his sisters, Patty Dalton, Lona McDaniel, and Pam Jackson (Gene); a brother-in-law, Jerry Dalton; twelve grandchildren; and his best friend, Mick Moore.

Delbert spent 25 years working for WVU in environmental services, then went on to work for MTEC as a custodian for another 18 years. He enjoyed his work and took great pride in what he did. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and repairing vehicles. Delbert was a humble, sociable man that everyone loved. His family would say he never met a stranger. He had a big heart with a special place for his family, friends, and pets alike.

A visitation will be held at Fred Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 2PM until the time of service at 4 PM with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. In accordance with Delbert’s wishes, cremation will follow.
