David Earl Thompson, Jr.

David Earl Thompson, Jr., 41, of Maidsville, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021. He was born August 16, 1979 in Morgantown, a son of the late David E. and Sharon L. Thompson of Maidsville.

David is survived by his two sons David E. (Little Man) Thompson, III, and Hunter E.J. Thompson of Maidsville; two sisters April Wade and husband Eric of Fairmont and Danielle Thompson of Maidsville; niece Taylor L. (Tay Tay) Nelson; nephew Alex A. Wade; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

David loved spending time with his sons and family. His boys were his world. He cherished and loved them so much.

He had a love for football and riding his motorcycle. He was an avid Mountaineer fan, and enjoyed watching them play. David also relished watching wrestling with his sons, Little Man and Hunter.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. He will now be reunited with his longtime best friend, his father.

He will be missed dearly.

Friends and family will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 1 pm with Pastor Chris Zehner officiating. David will be laid to rest beside his parents at Bethel Cemetery.
